Shep Hyken Is Inducted Into the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame.
On August 4, 2008, Shep Hyken was inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame at the 2008 National Speakers Association Convention in New York City. Up to 5 people a year are admitted into the CPAE (Council of Peers Award of Excellence) Speaker Hall of Fame since its creation in 1977. Shep received this prestigious acknowledgement on his 25th anniversary of being in the speaking business.
Shep has been entertaining audiences since the age of 10 when he became interested in magic. At age twelve he started a birthday party magic show business. At age 16 Shep was doing comedy and magic at the Playboy Club. Just one year out of college, in August of 1983, Shep made the transition from magic to professional speaking.
