			Welcome to my Houdini movie website.  The purpose of this site is to share some of the wonderful posters, photos and more from the movie Houdini starring Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.  I like to think of this as an on-line museum. My name is Shep Hyken and I am a professional speaker and author.  My hobby, passion and at time people would even call my vocation, is magic.  I love all types of magic, from sleight-of-hand to large stage illusions.   One of my favorite movies about magic is Houdini.  A while back I saw a Houdini movie poster (similar to the one pictured above on the right) and thought that this was a cool poster.  Regular Houdini posters, featuring the real Harry Houdini, from the 1920's and earlier cost $30,000 - even higher!   There was no way I would spend the money for one of those, not that I wouldn't love the posters, but the Houdini movie poster from 1953 was a fraction of the cost.  It seemed reasonable enough, so I bought it.  Actually, I won it on eBay - my first ever eBay auction.  (Thank you Stephen Sparks - his friends call him Sparky - www.granhoudini.net)  I had no idea that this first purchase from Sparky would turn into a hobby - make that an obsession - that would give me hours and hours of fun and fascination. This website is divided into sections.  It has an article I wrote for Magic Magazine, which will give you some insight to the movie.  There is a section on all of the different movie posters from different countries.  There is a section that includes photographs and also a section on "other stuff" which includes all types of interesting items associated with the movie.  If you see a photograph or item and want a bigger image, just click on it.   I hope you enjoy the "museum."  Be sure to email me with any comments.   And, I'm always looking for more items to add to the collection.  I can buy, trade, etc.  Enjoy the site!
